How do you convert points to pixels?
In CSS, a point is 1/72 of an inch and a pixel is 1/96 of an inch, so multiply points by 96/72, or 1.333. A 12pt font is 16px, which is also the browser default. 9pt is 12px, and 18pt is 24px.
This matters when a brand guide or a Word document gives sizes in points. Convert to pixels, then to rem for your stylesheet with the PX to REM converter. Points themselves are best kept for print stylesheets.
